During the network deployment by the operators they face with a lot of difficulties such as high deployment costs, expensive spectrum license fees , site acquisition issues, and etc., but with eNodeB Hardware sharing between different mobile operators they can do huge cost saving. So it is called as RAN Sharing. A network that can be shared including sites with frequency or without frequency, equipment rooms, cell towers and power supplies.

Here we can find some common possibilities in RAN Sharing:

1. An operator can get a carrier and share the spectrum with others.
2. Each operator can get own carrier and eNodeB can be shared between operators.
3. National and International roaming can be independently used by each operator.
4. Each operator has its own USIM.
